How To Clean Smart Glasses

Cleaning your smart glasses properly will help maintain their functionality and longevity. We have a step-by-step guide on how you can clean your smart glasses:
1. Power Off & Disconnect
If your smart glasses have electronic components, turn them off and disconnect any cables before cleaning.
2. Use a Microfiber Cloth for Lenses
- Gently wipe the lenses with a microfiber cloth to remove dust and smudges. Do not use water or chemicals.
- Avoid using rough fabrics, which can scratch the lenses.
3. Apply Lens Cleaning Solution (If Needed)
- If there are stubborn smudges, use a small amount of alcohol free lens cleaner.
- Spray the solution onto the microfiber cloth—never directly on the lenses or device.
4. Clean the Frames and Sensors
- Use a dry microfiber cloth to clean the frame and arms.
- For nose pads and hinges, use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol free lens cleaner.
- If your smart glasses have sensors (e.g., for gesture control or AR functions), gently wipe them with a dry microfiber cloth or a damp (not wet) lens wipe.
5. Dry Thoroughly
Let everything air dry completely before turning your smart glasses back on.
6. Avoid These Mistakes
- Don’t use paper towels or tissues (they can scratch the lenses).
- Don’t use household cleaners like Windex or soap, as they may damage coatings.
- Smart glasses have IPX ratings from different brands. Ray-Ban Meta have an IPX4 rating. This means the glasses can handle light rain while you’re wearing them. Don’t expose your smart glasses to excessive water.
